8:58pm
LuaLua was penalised for handball as he closed down Trippier tight to the touchline, through it was hard to see how he could have got out of the way. Jones whipped an inswinging free-kick and Vokes’ glancing header drifted wide of the far post.

8:53pm
Neither team made a change at the break. Albion were now hoping to launch attacks on the goal closest to their travelling fans.

8:36pm
Trippier was tracking back to defend against Trippier. He was penalised for a trip in added time and received a lecture from ref Langford.
Jones took the resulting free-kick but it was overhit and Kuszczak held.
Half: Burnley 0 Albion 0

8:31pm
Every now and then it looked like Albion might thread something together.
Heaton had to come out smartly to grab LuaLua’s intended through ball off the toes of David.
The home keeper was less tested by a tame Forster-Caskey volley, although at least it was an effort on target.
Burnley were playing in fits and starts. They cranked into gear to work room for Trippier to cross from the right but Bruno headed away beyond the far post.
Another cross from right-back Trippier was volleyed clear by Andrews.
Forster-Caskey looked to get Ulloa in behind the defence but Heaton came out of his area to boot the ball to safety in the stand.

8:19pm
Greer’s boot was raised too high as he challenged Ings just outside the box to give Burnley a free-kick and Jones’ curler might have troubled Kuszczak had it not deflected off the wall and out for a corner which was easily dealt with.

8:17pm
Albion had a great chance to go ahead when a long ball forward was headed away only as far as LuaLua, who burst between two defenders to be clean through on goal – but Heaton blocked his shot.
The corner eventually fell to LuaLua out on the left and he cut in and fired a right-fo0ted drive which Heaton held low down.

8:12pm
At last Albion strung together some passes and David had a go from 25 yards, his effort taking a nick off a defender as it flew too high.

8:11pm
Burnley were playing some nice stuff. Slick passing from the back opened space for Trippier to get in a cross which Bruno headed away from Ings at the far post.
For once, Albion were struggling to get and retain possession.
Trippier improvised brilliantly to volley in a cross on the run and this time Greer got the important clearing header.

8:06pm
Jones was a threat, he sent Kightly away to run at Bruno, who stood his ground and got in a tackle.
The resulting corner was taken short by Kightly to Ings whose return pass got Kightly into the box. He shot from a narrow angle and the ball crashed back off the near post.

8:02pm
Andrews stepped in and made a timely intervention on the edge of his area.
When Albion moved forward, LuaLua went down and needed attention – which did not amuse the Burnley faithful.
*

7:55pm
It was a sedate start - but Jones unlocked Albion with a neat through ball into the path of Vokes. It took a sliding tackle from the alert Greer to usher the ball away from Vokes' run and out for a corner which Kuszczak held cleanly.

7:49pm
The tests don’t get much tougher than this. Away to the third-placed team in the Championship and visiting a side unbeaten on their own Turf.
We are undcer way with one change for Albion compared to their last league game at Derby – LuaLua in for Orlandi.
