Andrea Orlandi in the thick of the action against Port Vale
Andrea Orlandi has urged Albion to send a message to the rest of the Championship – by ending Burnley's unbeaten home record.
The Seagulls head for Turf Moor tonight and a swift reunion with former striker Ashley Barnes with Burnley only a point off an automatic promotion spot.
Albion inflicted one of the Lancastrian’s three defeats at The Amex in August, after visiting keeper Tom Heaton was sent-off in the first half.
The circumstances of tonight’s clash also remind Orlandi of a surprise 2-0 victory at table-topping Cardiff last season, when the Spaniard was on the scoresheet.
Orlandi told The Argus: “Burnley are where they are for a reason. We are up against Ashley, which is going to be another exciting point about the game, but I think against the top teams we always perform well. It’s a good chance to send a message to the league.
“Let’s see if we can beat them. I think we have a chance. I don’t think they are better than us.
“Last season against Cardiff was a turning point, so this is a good moment for us to step forward and say something.”
