Jones, who was signed by Adams when he was in charge of Brighton, says that his former boss does not accept anything other than 110 per cent from his players.
He told seagulls.co.uk, “It is going to be one very difficult game. It would have been difficult going there anyway but there is obviously the added spice of Micky, who has made a living out of working hard.
“And since he has been in management and coaching, he has been getting his teams to work very hard, and he will have his side wound up. But we know exactly what we are going get and we will be ready because we are a professional group.
“This is what the FA Cup is about, and Oscar will now get a real proper feel for it as he has only been involved in one Cup game that was at the Amex against a Championship side; so it wasn’t too different to normal games, but this is a proper Cup tie.”

On a personal note the Welshman says he is looking forward to returning to Vale Park after celebrating winning the league there with the Albion.
“I like going to Port Vale because it is a big pitch and I have fond memories there. Back in 2002 we played the last game of the season there and Paul Watson scored the goal to win us the game.
“There were little things behind winning that game like what happened the year before when we went to Shrewsbury in a*similar*situation.*
"We had a lot of fans travel up on that day because we had won the league but we lost, so when we went to Vale the year after we didn’t want to lose and we won it 1-0; it was an important win.
“That was the type of group we had; we had already won the league and we were comfortable but we wanted to finish on a high and that is the mentality that Micky had instilled even though he wasn't at the club by that time.”
