FFP and a level playing field

There are clearly clubs in the Championship that have chosen to ignore FFP, Paul Barber has alluded to this previously. As it has turned out the clubs that have chosen this route are at the top of the table and may well achieve promotion. Is the club currently making representations to the Football league about this and with what response?

Nobody knows - until accounts for this season are filed in December 2014 - who has and hasn't complied with FFP. We can all speculate and guess but nobody really knows.

As it happens, we do know that the team who is top - Leicester - has actually been working very hard to comply. But, again, how successful they've been, we don't know.

It's also hard to judge those who have come down from the PL - they have parachute payments and may well have PL level sponsorship revenues still running.

So, in summary, let's judge FFP when we can and when we have facts. Also, everyone needs to remember, FFP is about building a sustainable business model.
