Adds strength to the FFP argument for us. If we can stay in the play offs and squeak through then we don't carry as much operating debt into the Prem!!

In a pile of football shirts
Both clubs have chairman who have, and plan to, make controversial changes to their respective clubs. Cardiff playing in red, Hull City to be renamed Hull Tigers.

I've just come across these two results which may or may not have been published on here before...

Hull - £28m loss - http://www.footballeconomy.com/content/hull-city-lose-nearly-£28m

Cardiff - lost £30m - http://www.footballeconomy.com/content/cardiff-city-lost-£30m

It's an expensive business this promotion thing.

It doesnt have to be . ok we sold wilf to cover our loses but the owners always said they would go for it ( within reason ) for 2 seasons then sell a good young un and go again . Even in this window if we go for it it will be calculated and im happy with that ( even if we go down ) Our two clubs are very lucky to have owners who WONT sell its soul like the two teams above , their owners wont be seen for dust if it goes tits up or they dont get their way .

Leicester will be joining that club. Southampton, another club that hoovered up any talent on their way up, money no object.

You're right.

I've never really had any feelings either way towards Cardiff but REALLY want them to go down with you lot this year.

Then Vincent Tan can f**k off and they can sort the kit and badge out and carry on.

This isn't a dig at your club, but you didn't have a debt to service and you weren't pressed to sell your best players as you went in to administration and had all your debts wiped out. You're an anomaly to the rule.

You did exceptionally well last season, (thanks to Glenn, Zaha and taking your chances)but it's the exception rather than the rule. Generally the clubs who pay the highest wages take the top spots, although the play offs are slightly less predictable.

There's nothing wrong with debt so long as it's underwritten by an owner who is committed to the long term.

City, Chelsea ( and the Albion) are examples.

How does getting lucky and fluking your way to promotion fit in to the equation? Lets be honest even if you had WILF HAHA you wont be staying up? See you next year

fair enough , goldberg was a idiot who didnt have the money or sense and noades saw him coming a mile off . The last one wasnt as clear cut , basically we were ( or jordan was ) placed in administration for a default on a £4 m loan which was daft considering they didnt get it . So lets get to the new owners , they are doing it correct and that was my original point .

The first point , we had to let young players go at a fraction of their worth to keep going so it wasnt all heaped in our favour .

CPFC2010 have an infinity with the fans because they are fans. Allam earlier on today has threatened to walk way from the club he owns if he isn't allowed to change the name to Hull Tigers and Tan believes he can achieve success by changing the colour of the shirts to "lucky" red.

Right ok i've got that out of the system now for the sensible questions...

How do you feel about the frankly ridiculous transfer fees paid for league one players that are expected to perform in the PL?

Its a gamble but dwight ( im sure you meant him ) is a goalscorer and when he has got time on the pitch he has done ok . He is very inexperienced at that level as most of us are but we are finding our feet and you never know . Any big fee is a gamble some come off and some dont , cms hasnt done great has he !
