A pint of Watneys Special (although it was far from "special") in the Buccaneer, 49p
Could go out, get pissed, bag of chips and bus home for a fiver.

From memory my local charged £1.65 for a pint of bitter, £1.75 pint of fosters and £2 for a pint of Guinness. Happy days as 20 B&H were about £1.99 and a kebab about £2. so you could have a good night out for £20!

Off the top of my head it was about .... a shilling, but a brown and mild was a penny or so dearer.... Feck me, I must be as old as I feel. But reckon I could still take a better penalty than Puncheon

not sure as was not old enough to buy a pint at that stage................King and Barnes did sell a larger that was 50p during the promotion, god it was rough.................

1973 a pint of bitter shandy after Sunday league for 14p at the Sackville (Hove Park Tavern)
1974 The Western 16p was first proper pint (sorry, The Paris House)
1978 it was 28p for a pint of Sam Smiths in the Student Union bar (32p for Ruddles if you were a middle-class rugger ****)

9d for a pint of mild in a pub in Plumstead back in 1974 (I think) Me and my mate had to club together the loose change in our pockets to afford buy it and share. Blimey.

Think between about £1.20 and £1.60. Although alot of student promo's at the time were 50p pints 1992-1995. I remember a club opposite the cinema in Weststreet doing 40p pints circa 1992, Think it was the Basement.
