At the training ground or in a game Crofty was phenomenal for the team this season"
Tomasz Kuszczak
Tomasz Kuszczak reacted to the news of Andrew Crofts’s injury by hailing the midfielder’s impact on Albion’s season.*
Crofts was ruled out for the rest of the campaign on Sunday after confirmation he had ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament against Birmingham, and the Seagulls’ Polish keeper paid tribute to him.
“I am really sorry for him," Tomasz told seagulls.co.uk, “At the training ground or in a game Crofty was phenomenal for the team this season.*
“He has played really well, been consistent and we are going to miss him. He is very important to the team and he has been the key player in many games.*
“He has made many appearances this season and that is why we are going to miss him, but this is why a football team is not only 11 players, it is about the whole squad and now somebody else is going to get the chance.”
On a more positive note Kuszczak says the side are not going to rest on their laurels after making the play-off spots for the first time this season, following the win over the Blues on Saturday.
“The plan is to stay in the play-offs but obviously we are going to push for more.*
“It has taken us a little bit longer than it did last season but the most important part is that we improve every game and work hard at the training ground.*
“Everyone is really focused and we are playing better and better.”*
