They're always accurate, They're the number of tickets sold.

Funnily enough I thought exactly that on Saturday, looking around and thinking that 26,700 was possibly an accurate reflection of actual attendees for once.

I'm sure there were 26,796 people there, however it was obvious there were less absentees than v Bournemouth, which had a larger official attendance. I would suspect there were so many absentees v Bournemouth that there were fewer people there than v Birmingham.

Thanks Greens :(
Just on the tickets sold v attendance debate, my take is that attendance at any event is people in attendance at that event. If we go on tickets sold, the figure on the big screen should have 'tickets sold' after it, not 'attendance'. Simple...

If it's sunny and not too cold and a saturday then most people turn up so the number sold reflects the number of attending quite well. If it's wet, or cold or in mid week, or during the summer holidays there is a fair chance about 10-15% of those with a ticket won't go. The lazy good for nothing, disloyal little ****ers.
