There's a watchmaker from the isle of man called Roger W Smith who hand makes only ten watches per year,he learn't his trade from Dr George Daniels CBE.He virtually makes every part of the watch by hand,nearly 220 separate components and they cost between £70,000 and £120,000,if money was no object my name would be on his list.

'The Night Watch' by Rembrandt - saw it in Amsterdam a few years back. Yes, there are other things to do there.
 








A pocket watch made by my great great grandfather, Francis Harrison (1834-1880), of Hexham. Or, even better, one made by his father, Francis Spring Harrison, or his grandfather, John Harrison.
