We ran them very close in the first game we played, so if we approach Sunday in that positive manner again then we can do very well."

Albion women will begin 2014 with a trip to Cardiff City this coming Sunday, kick-off 2pm.
*
The Seagulls were beaten 2-1 by the Red Dragons on the opening day of the season, as Lily Agg’s spectacular volley was not enough to prevent the Welsh side leaving Worthing with all three points.
*
Sunday’s match will be the first in three weeks for John Donoghue’s side, after the game against Charlton on 22nd December was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
*
He told seagulls.co.uk, “The weather has really disrupted us, it’s almost like going through pre-season again. We have been lucky to get the players in over Christmas and they have had a plan to do themselves, but it doesn’t replicate games which is what we need.“Cardiff will be a tough challenge, it is a long trip for us and they are second in the league; they score lots of goals and are quick to press teams.

Donoghue has a largely full-strength squad to choose from, with new signings Toni-Anne Wayne, Mollie Kmita and Rosie Kmita all expected to feature once again after making their respective debuts against Portsmouth last month.
Next three fixtures:
5th January Cardiff City (A)League
12th January Tottenham Hotspur (H)FA Cup
19th January Tottenham Hotspur (H)League
