We just need to make sure there is an equilibrium in our performances and we will be fine"
Nathan Jones
Nathan Jones says the squad must find a balance in their performances.
Albion have beaten just one of the current bottom six sides, however, have wins under their belts against the current top two, Leicester and Burnley.*
The Welshman told seagulls.co.uk, “Our motivation has to be the same for every game and it is, but at the minute we are having problems against sides in the bottom half and putting in performances against sides higher up the league.*
“But that is the way it goes and there are a lot of games to go in the league. We just need to make sure there is an equilibrium in our performances and we will be fine. *
“We have done well to be in amongst it at this stage of season. We have players back with a real desire to play and work hard so it bodes well. We just need to make sure our work rate is good, our performance levels are good and that we are clinical in both boxes.”
Albion’s assistant head coach has also called upon the squad to react positively from the narrow reverse to Charlton on Boxing Day when the Seagulls travel to Blackpool this weekend.*
“Our away form has been very good, we have had that blip up at Charlton and we are disappointed with that, but you cannot win every game away from home.*
“We are looking for a reaction now in terms of our preparation and how we go about getting a result at Blackpool.*
“We know it will be a very difficult game away from home, they have been doing quite well although they have had a few suspensions lately, but they are a good side.*
“They are an attack-minded side and we know that they pose a threat. If you don’t put a stop to that they can hurt you. It's never an easy place to go but we are looking forward to it as we always look forward to games.”
