Albion v Huddersfield - from The Amex [The Argus]

Agustien was playing some nice passes. His latest got Buckley to the byline and when he eventually cut the ball back Ince looked to let fly from just outside the box until he was closed down.
As the attack continued, Agustien looked to catch out Smithies from 30 yards but his drive looped comfortably over the bar.
Bruno combined neatly down the right with David and Bridcutt and then whipped in a cross but Wallace got there before Barnes, who tugged him back.
Wallace, brought into the side in the absence of Lynch and Clarke,*was sticking very tight to Barnes.

The game quietened down then for a while – and Paterson shot weakly wide when Albion obligingly allowed him time to shoot from a central position 25 yards out.

3:09pm
Brezovan had to gather a hopeful header goalwards by Gobern in the first minute.
But Albion almost unlocked Town in just the second minute – thanks to a glorious angled ball by Bruno. His 50-yard delivery was right on to the chest of Barnes, who took the ball down well but saw his left-foot blast well blocked by a terrific challenge from Gerrard.
Bruno was less effective on Albion's next attack as he called for David Lopez to play a corner short but then sliced his cross into the South Stand.
Then Bruno found his range again with another fine pass but Buckley, popping up on the right, saw his cross deflect off a defender to keeper Smithies.
In a free-flowing start, Vaughan got the ball outside the box and cut in from the right before shooting straight into Brezovan's midriff.

3:03pm
No change of ends. We are about to get under way with Albion going North to South in the first half.

3:01pm
Rain sweeps across The Amex as the teams walk out, Albion led by Liam Bridcutt again in the continuing absence of Gordon Greer. There is a vibrant atmosphere around the ground though as Sussex By The Sea belts out.

2:53pm
It’s very grey, rather wet – but mercifully not as windy here inside The Amex as it is outside the stadium. Could that all add up to a free-flowing spectacle here as Albion chase a third successive win?
Well we’ve had five goals in each of the last two meetings here in Sussex. There was a 3-2 win for Town on the final day at Withdean and a slow-burning 4-1 win success here for the Seagulls earlier in 2013.
Let’s hope we stay dry and see some entertainment today. There’s more chance of the latter, I would suggest!
