Simon Ireland
Simon Ireland hailed his under-21s for their consistent high standards following their 4-0 friendly win at Brentford.
A Shamir Goodwin brace along with goals from Solly March and Ragnar Mar-Larusson gave the Seagulls a comprehensive victory over the Bees, and Ireland was delighted with his palyers.
He told seagulls.co.uk, “We started the game like we finished the Charlton one. We passed the ball well and had the same intensity as we did last week and it showed by being 3-0 up at half time.
“The display and the result are doubly pleasing because we have maintained our performance levels and come away with an excellent win.
“For me Solly was the stand-out player. His ability to find space is excellent, he is very creative and always looking to be positive with the ball. However it was a great all round squad performance and we will be looking to take into the game at Spurs on Monday to round off the year.”*
