It’s fantastic that Mollie and Rosie have made history in this way – but they are here on merit and will bring something extra to the squad. "

Mollie and Rosie Kmita have made history by becoming the first set of twins to appear for Brighton & Hove Albion, when they started for Albion women against Portsmouth last Sunday. The two 19-year-old wingers played in the 2-1 defeat at Withdean, with Mollie even scoring the opening goal.
Both players are exciting additions to the current squad and Elite Women & Girls’ Manager Tracy Doe is delighted to have them on board.
She told seagulls.co.uk, “It’s fantastic that Mollie and Rosie have made history in this way – but they are here on merit and will bring something extra to the squad.
“We’re really excited to have them join the club. They’re both still very young, enthusiastic and willing to learn in order to keep improving. They will be both be key in our long-term aims for the future.”
There have been many family ties in the club’s history – including several sets of siblings - but never twins.
Nicky Forster previously wearing the blue and white stripes before step-son Jake Forster-Caskey entered the first-team squad.
Martin Hinshelwood has also been director of football and manager of the club, whilst nephew Adam and son Danny have made appearances for the first-team.
Gary Elphick also appeared twice for the Seagulls and brother Tommy had a seven-year spell at the club, albeit at different times; while other sets of brothers include Chris and Steve May, whose father Larry also played for the club; and the Fox brothers both played under Liam Brady in the mid-to-late 1990s.
