I think the PSU on my PC has died. If not, it's the motherboard.
Has anyone in Hove got a spare PSU I could borrow, just to start my PC and see if it's my PSU or motherboard that needs replacing?
Thanks
Thanks for the reply. Did this about half an hour ago, and it looks like I have a dead power supply (I disconnected some of the PSU cables, but not all, as it's not possible to get to some without taking the CPU fan out etc). You can test the PSU disconnected from the motherboard by connecting the green and black wires together (in the main 20/24 pin plug)

Problem is, I'd return it to PC world whether it worked or not, as I wouldn't get a new one from there. So I'll leave them alone.Just buy 1 at PC world and if you don't need it take it back for a refund
Works every time
No I haven't checked that. To be honest, it's probably time to change it. It was decent enough, but it's over 8 years old now. At £60 for a new, and better one, I'm happy to go new.Have you opened it up and checked any internal fuses ? I've had them go before.
Edit : UNPLUG IT AND WAIT FOR THE CAPACITORS TO DISCHARGE THOUGH
