ALBION ***********************0*
BRISTOL CITY ************2
Morrell, 47, 61
Two second half goals proved the difference as Bristol City overcame a hard-working Albion side, avenging their defeat from earlier in the season.*
The visitors struck twice through midfielder Joe Morrell to consign the Seagulls to a five straight defeat.*
In the second mintue Albion’s Ragnar Mar Larruson could have put Simon Rusk’s side in front but fired straight at the visitors’ keeper from close range.*
And as the half wore on the Robbins grew into the game with only a last ditch tackle from Robin Deen preventing them from taking the lead shortly before the interval.*
Following the restart Albion looked the brighter of the two sides but soon found themselves a goal behind. Keeper Olly Wray collided with City’s striker on the edge of the area, and there was little he could do when Morrell drove the subsequent free-kick past his outstretched palm to make it 1-0.*
A little after the hour mark it was 2-0 as Morrell’s corner caused confusion in the Albion ranks and despite rallying, Albion couldn’t find a way past a resolute City backline to mount a comeback as the visitors left with the spoils.*
Albion: Wray; Deen, Hutchinson, Dallison, Barnett; Muitt (Collar, 75), Wiltshire (Maguire-Drew, 60), Harris, Benham, Davis (Tighe, 34); Mar Larruson.
Subs: Courtney, Pring.*
