Leo Ulloa is set to be named in the squad for tomorrow's game at Middlesbrough
Leo*Ulloa is back in contention for Albion.
The Seagulls’ Argentinian spearhead is poised to return to the squad for tomorrow’s trip to Middlesbrough.
Head coach Oscar Garcia confirmed to The Argus last night that Ulloa will be available for selection as long as he comes through Albion’s light training session before they fly up to the North-East this afternoon.
Ulloa has missed the last ten-and-a-half weeks of action and nine matches since fracturing a foot bone against Sheffield Wednesday at The Amex.
Ashley Barnes is sure to keep the lone striking role after five goals in as many games but Ulloa will be in contention for a place on the bench either alongside or in place of Leroy Lita.
Barnes’ form has been so good that Lita, who spent two years at Middlesbrough between August 2009 and 2011, has been restricted to five substitute appearances since signing on loan from Swansea in mid-October.
Ulloa started the season with four goals in six appearances before a red card at Reading ruled him out for three games.
He was injured on his comeback against Sheffield and, although Albion have coped well in his absence, his return is a big boost ahead of the hectic Christmas programme.
