We value our players here and I believe in them strongly and we will be quietly confident "
Simon Rusk
Albion’s under-18s are in FA Youth Cup action tonight as they face Everton at Goodison Park, and coach Simon Rusk is under no illusions about the size of the task.*
He told seagulls.co.uk, “It is a big game and it’s going to be a stern test obviously. They’re flying in their league, top of the Premier League, so it’s going to be a tough game but it’s one that everyone should be excited by; it’s a great challenge.*
“Sometimes it comes down to the fact that it is just a game of football, you are not playing super-human people. We value our players here and I believe in them strongly and we will be quietly confident about going there and the lads giving everything, then we will see what happens on the night.”
Rusk added, “If you are a football player and you have the chance to play at Goodison Park, it doesn’t matter when you are playing or who you are playing, you have got to be excited. We will have to pay them a lot of respect and we have been preparing fully, doing lots of analysing and coming up with a game plan to try and win the tie."
Kick-off is at 7pm and supporters can follow the action here on seagulls.co.uk with our live embedded Twitter feed.*
