"In light of recent decisions by the Police and Crown Prosecution Service, the Club can now confirm, after an emergency meeting of the Board this morning, Friday 6thDecember, that the two players have been dismissed with immediate effect for bringing the Club into disrepute."
"Mark Turner would also like to state that the Board, Club, coaching staff and players were completely unaware of the actions of these two players."
I wasn't aware that there had been a trial.

Maybe they have already admitted to match fixing, in which case fair play to Whitehawk for sacking them.
