My current favourite Stones video, definitely worth a watch at least for comedy value:

However, I think the song is a cracker and Undercover an undervalued 80's album.

note - the songs takes a while to get going, be patient!

Not as painful as the Jagger and Bowie video for Dancing In The Street...

No - About 1977 they changed from a band to a business - no creativity since then I'm afraid

A stain on the music world since Some Girls. If they could have conserved their energy and produced one album a decade (like some of their contemporaries) I think they might have done themselves some favours.

Waiting On A Friend is massively under rated IMO. Terrific song.

Come on. Done themselves favours? Nothing can sully their back catalogue.

I think my love of the later albums Some Girls, Tattoo You and Undercover is the unfamiliarity of the tracks, the old "classics" have been played to death. To say they have written nothing half decent since 77/78 is rubbish!

Inspired by this thread I have dug out Dirty Work. It's not as bad as I remember it but Mick's vocals sound quite aggressive.

The Emotional Rescue 7" was the last Stones record I bought and they have been embarrassing since IMHO. Australia is currently wetting itself over their tour in March 2014 - the fact I can get tickets for The Arctic Monkeys AND the NIN/QOTS double header, both shows at the same venue, for less combined says it all to me, meh....
