Albion women travel to Kent this Sunday to face league leaders Gillingham. The Gills are unbeaten in all competitions so far this season and John Donoghue’s side will be hoping to avenge the recent 3-0 defeat to the same opponents in the Premier League Cup.
He told seagulls.co.uk, “The players are feeling fine and looking forward to the game.
“The last match against Gillingham gave us a good insight into the way they play and where they are strong. It is great to have played a team recently, but as always our main focus is on what we need to improve on and be more successful.
“I’m looking forward to the Christmas run-in; it will be great to put a series of games together and use the squad fully. We are now starting to bring in new players and create more competition for places.”
Donoghue’s main injury concern going into the game will be Cally Beaumont, who is still undergoing treatment on a hamstring injury, while Sophie Perry is unavailable for the match.
The game takes place at Chatham Town FC, 2pm kick-off.
Next three fixtures:
1st December Gillingham (A)League
8th December Tottenham Hotspur (A)Premier League Cup
15th December Portsmouth (H)League
