Tammy Waine’s first-half hat-trick, along with strikes from Charley Boswell and Kim Whitcombe helped Albion women cruise past Chesham.
Chesham had the first opportunity of the match, when Charlotte Sole had to be alert to push away Natalie Adams’s effort in the opening minute.
Sole then needed to make herself big to deny Dawne Campbell from close range in a nervy opening ten minutes for Albion.
But Waine broke the deadlock in the 11th minute, as she latched onto Kirsty Barton’s through ball and produced a superb acrobatic finish over Katie McGloin.
Waine then struck again just two minutes later, slotting past McGloin with a cool finish from a tight angle.
The Seagulls captain even had an effort ruled out after finishing well from another Barton through ball, only to be denied by the linesman’s flag.
But her hat-trick was complete in the 24th minute, as Whitcombe’s perfectly-timed cross was met by Waine with a close-range header from inside the six-yard box.
John Donoghue’s side then added a fourth goal in first-half stoppage time, when Boswell dinked her effort over McGloin and into the far corner.
Albion continued to create chances after the break as Kate Natkiel’s ball across the box was just missed by Whitcombe, before Charlotte Owen had her effort blocked from Boswell’s cross.
The scoring was concluded thanks to Whitcombe, after her shot beat McGloin at the post with just over 20 minutes remaining.
The Seagulls comfortably saw out the closing stages of the match, with Anneka Nuttall having the only noteworthy chance for the visitors after striking her effort into the side-netting.
Substitute Kim Stenning had a chance late on to make the victory even more emphatic, but she struck the post with a shot from inside the box.
Head Coach Donoghue admitted he wasn’t completely satisfied with the performance, despite the resounding score-line.
He told seagulls.co.uk, “We scored some fantastic goals and kept possession quite well in the second-half. We looked like we wouldn’t concede unless we gave them the goal.
“But it was a really poor start; if Charlotte Sole hadn’t made a couple of good saves early on then we would have been chasing the game.
“We got points on the board by playing reasonably poorly, so hopefully we can draw a line on that and go onwards and upwards.”
