What if (with tongue firmly in cheek and feet firmly on the ground) we managed to achieve promotion this season and Sunderland and Palace are relegated? I just wonder what the reaction would be from our ex-manager and the mob up the road.

It would certainly exorcise the demons of last May.

Personally I'm past all that. And despite my age (or perhaps because of it) I can't get too worked up about the mob up the road and their sorry arses.

Actually, that's a total lie. Whenever I get an inappropriate boner (in the queue at Sainsburys, etc), to get rid of it the missus whispers 'Crystal Palace' in my ear.

I doubt we'll go up the season but it looks like a win win, with the alice and the silly arse black cats battling for the wooden spoon.
