This came up in another thread and I don't recall many, if any, threads about guitars, so just for anyone interested ...
I did the "band thing" years ago as a guitarist, but have recently re-taken it up. While looking around, I found a really terrific site that from what I've seen has everything you need to learn guitar from a complete beginner to quite a good level. There's something like 650 vids by a British guy, and they are just so well done, taking you through everything step-by-step. As with any instrument, you'll only get out what practice you put in, but this site seems to have everything. It's free, though does ask for donations.
It's nothing to do with me, I just found it and thought others might appreciate it.
