I just worked out why my flat smells of fish

Fresh fish doesn't really smell. As an ex fishmonger I know this. The smell associated with fish is decay.

Unscrew the end of the curtain rod...place raw prawns....screw back end of curtain rod...hous of misery for somebody ;-D

When we were much younger we did something similar when selling a house - the buyers messed us around no end and cost us a couple of grand (big money then that we could ill afford) so we shoved something smelly into air vents at a number of strategic locations (bedroom/lounge/entry hall) and into the bathroom towel rail and the space under the bath. No idea how long it took for them to find it but always smile inwardly in the hope that it caused the shysters a (literal) headache.
