Andrea Orlandi could play at Wigan on Saturday
Andrea Orlandi is facing a big week as he targets a return to Championship action.
But head coach Oscar Garcia would love to see him back at the form he showed in pre- season.
The Catalan creator has played just 45 minutes since feeling pain in his knee in the opening defeat at Leeds.
Orlandi, who came through the ranks at Barcelona, is still expected to play a key role this season under the guidance of former Nou Camp favourite Oscar.
And there are hopes he could play at Wigan on Saturday.
Oscar said: “Andrea has started to work with the whole team at training but the key for him will be what he does this week “He was very good in pre- season. We hope he gets back to that level as soon as possible.
“But we will have to see how he does this week.”
Albion will also be monitoring Liam Bridcutt, who took a whack to his knee against Blackburn nine days ago, and Andrew Crofts (hamstring) this week.
Both are expected to be fit, as are Will Buckley and Keith Andrews after hamstring tweaks.
