Journalist James Masters has been in regular contact with Zahir and doing what he can to help but to no avail.
Unfortunately I can only see it ending in him killing himself - he's considered it a few times, is feeling utterly helpless and I spoke to his brother earlier on Twitter who said that he has a bad feeling about it.
The rights, or lack of, afforded to the workers building the stadiums who are penniless and unable to leave have been highlighted but it's only now that Zahir's story is gaining more attention.
