Gordon Greer could win his first cap for Scotland
Scotland have recalled Albion loanee Craig Conway – and given Gordon Greer new hope of a first cap.
Conway and fellow winger Gary Mackay-Steven of Dundee United have been added to the party to face the USA and Norway.
Meanwhile, Scotland’s assistant boss Mark McGhee has revealed squad members such as Greer, who have not been given a game recently, could see action in the coming days.
McGhee said: “The people who have been loyal to us so far, who maybe have come along and not played, we will be able to give them some sort of opportunity.
“That will happen in one or other of the games.”
Conway has started the last four games for Albion after a slow start to his stint on loan from Cardiff and was heavily involved in two goals when they beat Doncaster 3-0 on Saturday.
Andrew Crofts has withdrawn from the Wales squad to face Finland in a friendly on Saturday with what the FAW are describing as “an ongoing groin problem.”
Meanwhile, Huddersfield skipper and centre-back Peter Clarke has been ruled out of the trip to The Amex next month, among other fixtures, by a knee injury which will sideline him for at least ten weeks.
