Doing some research at work and trying to figure degree and career backgrounds for people doing PGCE secondary in these subjects;

Maths
Physics
Biology
Chemistry
Computing

Anybody got any ideas? For example I know a fair few engineering graduates become physics teachers.

Thanks for any sensible comments in advance.

A lot of engineering graduates have ended up in the banking industry and in the city in general in the past. I don't know how much with the recent recession it's changed.

I did a Sport Science BSc and then the secondary science PGCE. Got onto it very late on: a week b4 the start date if I remember correctly. I also had about 8 weeks work experience in local schools prior to getting on the PGCE.
