I have yet to hear of an amateur/semi pro team that hasn't traveled and stayed overnight without incident.
The senior players have already accepted that their pathway to a pro career is no longer or ceased some time ago and there will always be a few youngsters that wish to show off their 'party tricks' looking for some acceptance by their older peers.
Fueled by alcohol and a sense of exaggerated camaraderie things happen, always has always will.

Yep, yet to see a fire extinguisher NOT let off, usually causing grief and some cost to the directors of the club that then summon the captain to their rooms prior to breakfast.
So starts the 'investigation', however if he is a proper captain he has been banging the local bike all night and didnt see a thing.

The incident didnt occur in a hotel but on the flight back home.
Yeah I know, but I suspect if it was anything too sinister then the authorities would of got involved.

Who are "the authorities"? Sounds very scary.
It seems that those authorities that are responsible for our safety when flying take themselves extremely seriously.
It is unlikely that anything too serious would have been handed over to Worthing FC's board of directors to deal with.
