O/T Can NSC recommend some good quality laptop speakers?

Dear Fountain of all Knowledge,

I'm in the market for a decent set of speakers for my Macbook Pro. They need to be either USB or ideally operate off a standard headphone jack. Also they should ideally be quite small as my girlfriend will be bringing them in her suitcase from London to Costa Rica.

Looking for something with a decent bit of base and that doesn't cost the earth.

No doubt I will be purchasing through a special Amazon link

I bought some Logitech ones through Amazon and they are really good. Good price too.

Bose Bluetooth Soundlink, not cheap but great sound with a decent bass, also wireless and compact so easy to carry around and will work off mobile phone or iPod touch too.

If you want some cheap speakers, the z120's from Logitech cost £12 and are incredible for the money.

I treated myself to some of these beauties - Harman Kardon Soundsticks II



Great sound for around £100, but don't make the mistake I did and ask the man at Richer Sounds for a set of Karman Hardon Soundsticks.

Oh how we laughed

Edit: sorry, just read the OP again; these probably won't fit in to anything other than the largest suitcase.

The x-mini II's pack a weighty pocket size punch. I have 2 with a stereo splitter cable.
