My dad was a commander in the navy and I could make myself cry by closing my eyes and remembering 25 years ago when we used to meet him in Plymouth as his sub came home.

As for the topic, I was emotional last night when watching it and felt the same seeing it again now. My Dad was in the RAF when I was growing up and missed countless birthdays, Christmases, school plays, Easters, New Years etc...so I can empathise with what she must have been feeling.
