Just finished reading Roy Keane's autobiography and the shambolicness surrounding the Irish international camp seemed to send him more head-mental than many of the other things that sent him head-mental. Be interesting to see how he copes now the boot's on the other foot. Expect fireworks!

The thing that is quite possibly going to help O'Neill and Keane is that the next major tournament for them will be the European Championships in 2016 and that competition has now been expanded to 24 teams from 16. Therefore, a top 3 finish in their group should see them qualify. Admittedly, they only came 4th in their World Cup group and they seem to have a few players coming to the end of their careers, but I would think O'Neill knows his brief is that anything less than 3rd is failure for him. I expect they will start off pretty well under him and be hard to beat, but then gradually over time, they will become more predictable as most of his previous teams have been.
