Fantastic performance by the Yorkshireman against the 2nd seed Frenchman Gregory Gaultier. Some fantastic squash played by both players. Still, I'm sure we will all enjoy the golf, rugby sevens, football and tennis much more at the Olympics in 2020...

BBC news yesterday massive bit about Laura Trott winning with interviews and videos and a bit about Kenny losing and then at the end "oh by the way Nick Matthews wins the World Squash Championships for the third time". I'd bet more people play squash competitvely in this country than cycle competatively.

No real need for the 'my sport's bigger than your sport' debate, is there? Trott and Matthews are both inspirational in their chosen sports and fully deserving of any recognition and exposure that comes their way.

According to the biography of James Hunt (Playboy F1 racing driver}. Hunt was the was British Squash champ we never had!
