Watch Albion's futsal team put five goals past Chelsea and hear the thoughts of Oscar Garcia, Inigo Calderon and Bruno Saltor on one the world's fastest growing indoor sports shown on Soccer AM.*In the feature, Albion’s head coach and defenders tell their experience of playing the sport in their home country of Spain, the three-time winners of the Futsal World Cup.
Oscar told the Sky Sports programme, "It is very important for kids because you touch the ball many more times than when you are on a bigger pitch.
“At Barcelona we always trained on small pitches because then you have to think quickly and you have to play with passing ability."
Albion's 5-0 win over Chelsea kept alive their hopes of qualifying for the next round of the National Futsal Cup which is supported by Soccer AM and the Football League Trust.* The team also compete in the south east division of the National Futsal League against teams from Crystal Palace, Leyton Orient and Stevenage.
AITC's futsal scholarship is a two year programme for 16-18 year-olds.* Students get the chance to study for a BTEC Level Extended Diploma and represent Brighton & Hove Albion at futsal.
