Stephen Ward’s hamstring injury is not as bad as first feared and he is set to train today. The full-back is hoping to be fit for the trip to Doncaster, however Albion coach Oscar Garcia has Inigo Calderon to step in if necessary.
Oscar told seagulls.co.uk, “Stephen will train today and we'll see if he's able to play but if not Calderon will be ready, as he is a very good pro.
“We haven't been able to recover the other players in time, but we are hopeful for next week.”
Andrea Orlandi (knee), Liam Bridcutt (hernia) and Kemy Agustien (calf) have started running this week as the trio step up their rehabilitation, while Leo Ulloa (foot), Craig Mackail-Smith (Achilles), Will Hoskins (knee) and Kazenga LuaLua (knee) remain long-term absentees.*
