Oscar Garcia knows Doncaster will be desperate to bounce back from two heavy defeats
Oscar Garcia has urged Albion to meet fire with fire as they face a potential Doncaster backlash.
The Seagulls head coach expects opposing boss Paul Dickov to have his Rovers revved up after two hefty defeats.
And he will ensure his side are ready for it as they chase a second win in ten games.
Doncaster have shipped four goals in each of their last two games, at Reading and Middlesbrough.
Oscar reckons that should put his men on red alert as they head to the Keepmoat Stadium.
He said: “Doncaster will come at us with a lot of intensity, a lot of desire to change the way things have been going for them.
“We need to show that same intensity and that same desire because we need a win too.”
Albion gave been plagued by injuries this season but Oscar has assured fans Stephen Ward’s hamstring problem is not serious.
He expects the Irishman to be available for the visit of Blackburn a week tomorrow and he might even take him to Doncaster after all.
Oscar said: “He has improved quite a lot and we will know (today) whether he has a chance of coming with us or not. If not, it will only be one match.
“During the week he has done recovery work and nothing else. He hasn’t trained with the team.”
Midfielder Liam Bridcutt has done warm-ups with the rest of the squad as he recovers from hernia surgery and is nearing a comeback, subject to any unexpected setbacks.
Andrea Orlandi is running after his knee operation.
