Hi

I need to get one of these done by Thursday. Anyone got a contact? And approx idea on price? Or anyone on here registered to do them?! I'm in BN1

Friend in a different area had theirs done for about £60.

Paid £40 for mine, so look for that as a base line. I'm in Manchester so can't really recommend the bloke for you though!

Pretty much all plumbers will do one. I use Jacksons and from memory it is around 60 quid.

What did you pay? I seem to remember being quoted per appliance checked (oven, fire x 2, boiler).

As an aside, my nephew has recently moved house, and for some reason had no gas,and so asked a mate who is a qualified plumber to have a look for him. The previous owner had built his own extension to the house, and had put in the gas installation himself, and then forged the safety certificate, that subsequently wasn't checked by either the soliciter, or the surveyor. I don't know what kind of penalty is the going rate for this, but surely someone needs a slapped wrist

Gas Safe is the relatively new name for Corgi , they changed in 2009
