Nathan Jones has urged Albion to maintain a confident outlook ahead of the game against Watford on Monday. He told seagulls.co.uk, “We could dwell on things we haven’t got, but let’s just dwell on the positive.
“We’ve got a good side and a good squad and we’ll put out an excellent eleven, one that will compete with Watford.
“They have a fantastic squad and could put out two teams and we are not in that position at the minute, but we will be very competitive.
“We are in a positive frame of mind and the training’s gone really well this week, so we’ll be ready.
“We will go with a game plan as well, so they’ll have to worry about us as much as we’ll worry about them.
“It's always good with the Sky cameras there; it gives people a lift and we want our players to respond to that.”
Watford joined the Seagulls in the play-offs last season, eventually losing out in the final, and Albion's assistant head coach expects the Hornets to be challenging again for promotion.*
“I know Gianfranco (Zola) and the way he does stuff; he’s a fantastic manager and they have done brilliantly and will be there or thereabouts again.
“They’ve got a very good squad as I have said and they’ve kept their squad together near enough.

“They’ve lost (Matej) Vydra and (Nathaniel) Chalobah but they’ve signed well in (Lewis) McGugan and the other players they have brought in.
“They have got that bit of continuity and they haven’t picked up many injuries, which is a bonus for them, so it’ll be a difficult game.”
Meanwhile Jones was pleased with Craig Conway’s display at Yeovil last weekend and believes the Scot can have an impact in Kazenga LuaLua’s absence.
“Craig did really well last week and did the things that we brought him in for, which was very pleasing. Hopefully he can find the form we know he has got.”
