This is the little blighter potentially responsible for the high winds down here.

A lot will depend on the exact track, as the strongest winds will be mainly to the south of the feature.

26 years ago the weather forecast looked surprisingly similar.

Serious question - is it going to be safe to travel back on the ferry from Dieppe that night? I'm booked on the 6pm journey back and it sounds like it's going to be 'interesting'

Met Office official weather forecast states-
Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Generally very unsettled and sometimes very windy through this period, with successive spells of rain sweeping in from the west, separated by brighter but showery weather.

So that's wind, rain, bright & showers. Got it all covered I think. Wait, they missed snow!
Good news is that whatever it is it will be gone by Monday night.

Timing will be key. if the low takes a Southerly trajectory and the strong winds hits the Dover straits at that time you might see some lively seas. There will be a funnelling effect down the channel as the low moves eastwards.

Looking at the Hi-Res version of the GFS, which is published in chart form by the French Met.

Strong winds in the channel by 8am (the darkest colour = 80kmh)
Wind 8am Monday GFS.png

Strong winds still south of Sussex at 2pm
Wind 2pm Monday GFS.png

Strongest winds have moved into North Sea by 8pm
Wind 8pm Monday GFS.png

The Met Office FAX Chart, which has forecaster input (blend of models plus human interpretation) has the strongest winds over France.
