Nathan Jones has revealed Albion hope to sign another forward before the visit of Watford a week on Monday.
Leroy Lita made his debut as a substitute today in a goalless draw at struggling Yeovil after signing on loan from Swansea until January.
But Jones made it clear the Seagulls are determined to give themselves more options up front with the injury problems showing no sign of abating.
Despite having just two senior strikers to choose from, assistant head coach Jones felt Albion could have taken maximum points at Yeovil .
He said: “It is disappointing. It is a difficult place to come but I felt we did enough to win the game.
“We just lacked a clinical edge in the final third which is something we have been lacking. We are creating chances but with players like Leo Ulloa, Craig Mackail-Smith, Will Hoskins out we are missing that goalscorer that will win you games.
“We have signed Leroy, hopefully we will sign another so we are trying to address that.
“We know exactly what we want. We have identified the type of player, it has been a little bit more difficult that we thought to bring them in but hopefully we are a little bit closer to that.
“We have eight days now until the next game and hopefully we will have someone by then.”
