I actually think had Lita started we would have probably won, I am not sure what is the issue with Barnes at present but he has really lost his form at present.

Actually you are right, he's really off form at the moment - played well when he came vs Reading but since then.......

Tell me how would your performance go moving to a completely different department and expecting to work for the first time since 4 May having met you work colleagues a couple of days earlier, I'm interested, humour me

As much as I have tried, I'm unable to accept Barnes as a Championship Class striker. He gets about, gets things done and takes no prisoners. But as a direct goal scorer it's a no from me. On the upside and considering he possibly isn't match fit Lita looked the part and his introduction along with the return of our wounded players should give us a strong and competitive squad. If there is any truth in the Yossi thing this would indeed be the icing on the cake. As we desperately need that special kind of player that can turn a game with a moment of magic.

Head all over the place since the Burnley move fell through. He probably keeps looking up the table and thinking "Oh FFS"...

I think if we had started with Lita he would probably have been blowing chunks out of his arse at around the 40min mark.

Probably correct, but he would have certainly converted one or two of the four chances that were handed to Barnes, one header from eight yards out that went straight to the keeper, plus three shots handed to him that he stuck in row Z.

No truth in the Yossi thing. See Weekend Argus. 'The Seagulls will not be signing YB either, since the 33 year old Israeli is out of their salary range.'

This is true. It is of course equally possible that Barnes might have converted one of the three chances that Lita wasted at the end, no?

Ha....loyal to the bitter end......admirable, but he is demonstrating week in week out that he isn't a striker, something that you AB supporters always said he never got a chance as under Gus....here is his chance, and he has blown it.

Not about being 'loyal'. Just adding balance to your comment. You said that we'd have done better with Lita on earlier, to 'convert Barnes' chances'. Lita missed just as many, including a very, very good chance from a one on one, after Buckley put him through.

A player who hasn't played a first team game since May, three days after arriving at a club, cannot be compared to someone who through an incredible injury scenario has played week in week out......Lita missed yes, but he looked more dangerous and sharper than AB ever has.

All things are possible..... Just requires a leap of imagination....one of massive proportions.
