James Brynin's Family
Brighton and Hove Albion Football players will wear black armbands at Yeovil Town on Saturday in memory of Lance Corporal James Brynin, who was sadly killed in action in Helmand province in Afghanistan this week.James’ family and friends have also been invited to attend the club’s official Remembrance Day fixture against Blackburn Rovers game November 9th at the Amex, where there will be a minute’s silence held in honour of James and all fallen servicemen.
Brynin, from Shoreham-by-Sea, was a lifelong Albion fan and his death was met by a wave of sympathy and condolences yesterday when the tragic news broke.
The 22-year-old, who joined the Army in February 2011, was attached to the 14th Signal Regiment (Electronic Warfare), and deployed to Task Force Helmand in August.
Tragically after his section became the target of enemy fire during an operation this week he received a fatal gunshot wound.
His family have paid the following tribute yesterday, "Heart of a lion, we will always stand strong for you. We will never forget. Rest in peace – dad, Efrem; mum, Sharon; sister, Yasmin; and girlfriend, Olivia."
