Oscar Garcia felt Albion were beaten by a strong Nottingham Forest side today.
But he felt the outcome of their eventual 3-1 defeat might have been different had they taken their chances.
Oscar, whose side led through an Andrew Crofts goal at the break, said: “They are a strong team, they played with their best players and we had the handicap that we had seven or eight players injured.
“But for most of the minutes of the game we played face to face against one of the best teams in the competition and one of highest budgets.
“I’m happy with the performance of all the players.
“They played and gave 100% but they (Forest) are a very good team.”
He added: “Fans know that if they come here they can see attractive football but we have the problem that we have chances but it is difficult for us to score.
“If you have chances and don’t score against this kind of team they will punish you when they have the chance to score.”
