Good piece on accessing football matches as wheelchair user/away fan on Radio 4 this lunchtime
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01hygjw

here's an extract from the piece >>

"Probably my worst experience as a wheelchair user was at Crystal Palace. Its the very very basic things. There's nowhere to park. Getting in the ground is a nightmare, the disabled toilets don't have a Radar key. They don't steward it. You try to get in there and there's lads in there drinking. All the mad things football fans get up to. ...

So you can't get in the disabled toilets. When you go up its all wooden seats, you're sat behind the Crystal Palace fans, which in some ways is a help because they stand up at different times. They stand up when their team is attacking (LAUGHS). But if you're in a wheelchair position when you're view is blocked and people stand up you're gonna miss all the exciting bits. So the issue is, the facility doesn't allow for people standing up"
