He definitely should have been booked. I don't know why he did it as he'd got himself into a good position to pull it back to someone.

He should have gone for glory and shot. Dived and the foul was just a nudge.

Sums a rather desperate quest for goals. Impatient.

The big fat shirtless Wednesday fan took particular umbrage :lolol:
He was on our train from brighton to falmer , what a numpty , his daughter was having a panic attack BEFORE she got on the train , yet he and his group insisted on shoving her onto a pretty crowded carriage, they then proceeded to moan, non fvcking stop all the way there ,claiming that " someone will be killed soon if this overcrowding isnt sorted , talk about a drama queen :lolol:, the carriage was crowded , big deal, the funniest part of it all was that all this was said in the loudest BRUMMIE accent ive ever heard !

.

This is where it's ridiculous. IF the defender put his hands on Lualua's back, and he went down easily, how is that different to the second half, where Buckley TOUCHED Llera's outstretched hand, and he goes down like he has been crunched? The difference is that one is an EASY decision for the officials, and the other they bottle. The act of gamesmanship is no different. No better, no worse.

LuaLua has been doing a lot more diving this season. He's a strong bloke, he should just out muscle them and go past rather then jumping on the floor.

I thought that. LuaLua dived no complaints (except he should have been booked) but their defender did exactly the same thing twice, slight contact - throwing himself to the floor. It used to be goalkeepers who got too much protection, it was defenders last night

I guess he hasn't used the Supertram in Sheffield to really know about overcrowding on matchdays :lolol:

That same defender elbowed Buckley in the face, which made his head jerked back, the east stand linesman was just a couple of feet away, but did sweet fa. The players had their back to the ref, so maybe he didn't see it but the linesman had a clear view.

Lua lua could have squared it or got a shot away to at least force the keeper to do something. Embarrassing. Should have been booked. Embarrassing even more so after the flack chamakh got on here!!

It does show just how inconsistent refereeing is in this league. From the WSU it was obviously pretty hard to tell if it was a dive or not and for a while we felt confused by on the assumption that the referee had neither booked Lua Lua nor given a penalty. Now seems it was a dive with minimal or no contact. Contrast that with Pogrebnyak's second yellow at Reading where Andrews did touch him but he utterly over exaggerated the contact. And yet our ref last night was supposed to be a card happy feller.

Also can anyone nearer the action confirm our assumption that the ref was actually a midget or a ten year old in fancy dress?

Not much nearer the action (East Upper) but it was clear he was a midget both by the fact that even LuaLua was taller (except when lying down in the penalty area) and his shocking performance which smacked of a severe bout of Napoleon Complex.

From the south east corner, most of us in that viscinity were convinced it was a dive... and I tweeted as much. However Ferret tweeted back saying he'd seen the replay and that it was not a dive and a definite pen should have been given, but that Kaz had exaggerated it too much.

Either way it seems the ref made a non-decision!

Agree, towards the end of the game Barnes was tussling with a Wed player for a ball he was on to and they got given a free kick after their player made a meal of it. If that was a free kick Kaz's was a penalty.

The brummie accent is due to him being from Wolves, spoke to him at half-time and it turns out he was born in wolves then moved to preston park for a few years but now lives in sheffield,he has a soft spot for WBA,and BHA but his passion is Wednesday,he was their cheerleader last night, genuarily a nice guy.
