There's no cynics on the cycling geeks thread, just plenty of people who'll be able to give you some good scenic routes around the county.

Seven Sisters Country Park is a good place to start. Nice and flat.

The downslink is nice and mainly flat most of the way which is always a bonus
Cuckoo Trail is a nice one
