Sky Go to TV connection help

I recently got a Samsung Galaxy 4 smart phone and have enjoyed being able to see some of the Sky Sports at my folks place when I visit via Sky go as I am a sports subscriber.

Someone said to me that you can connect it to a TV to enjoy the benefit of a decent sized picture. Can anyone advise of a cable or lead that I would require for this purpose and is it as simple as connecting my Samsung phone with it to the TV ?

Any advice as to the lead or cable required would be a great help.

Sky Go doesn't work if you connect a phone with an hdmi cable to a TV. BBC iPlayer is fine but Sky say that they dont have a license to do this.
