We would like to get a positive result which may have a little knock-on effect in terms of the home games we have"
Nathan Jones
Assistant head coach Nathan Jones believes a positive result at Portman Road can give Albion momentum heading into next week’s back-to-back home games. The Seagulls face Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest at the Amex but first Oscar Garcia’s men have to negotiate a tricky away fixture against Mick McCarthy’s Ipswich Town.
Jones told seagulls.co.uk, “We would like to extend our unbeaten run over the next three games but all we are looking at is the Ipswich game. We have to remember what has got us the results so far and we have to keep reiterating that in training and in games, and hopefully results will come.
“To a certain extent you know what you are up against when you play Ipswich because Mick's teams are a reflection of how he was as a player, so it will be a very difficult game.
"He is a fantastic manager who has done really well at this level; he has taken sides up and when he came in at Ipswich he turned them around.

“It leads us into next week where we have two home games, so we would like to get a positive result which may have a little knock-on effect in terms of the home games we have.”
Jones also admitted that the club are still in the market for new faces but insists that is not a reflection on the current players’ ability.*
“We are still working hard, we still have targets. We are keen to add a little bit of difference to our squad, something that maybe we don’t have at the minute, so we are endeavouring to find that.
“However, we have some good young players here that can fit into our squad so there isn’t a massive urgency, but we are always looking to improve the team. If we can, and it fits into the structure, the budget and the way we work, then we will add to it.
“We have good players here and we know that, but if we just say ‘okay we are content’ then we will get complacent and we are not looking to do that.
“We are looking to add quality all the time, even when people are playing well, because we are looking to give them that competition that gives players an extra edge that drives them on.”
