Beaten Bolton boss Dougie Freedman reckoned a terrific free-kick from Kazenga LuaLua changed the game at The Amex.
But was still disappointed how his side caved in 3-1 to rampant Albion having led at the break.
LuaLua fired in a free-kick which flicked off Jay Spearing to drag the Seagulls level.
Freedman felt that was the key moment.
He said: "We conceded three goals in 11 minutes, a crazy 11 minutes which lost us the game.
“The first goal was a big blow for us. It was a fantastic delivery but it was quite fortunate to go off our man and into the back of the net.
“I felt that put us on the back foot.
“That’s when we have got to be a little more focussed and determined and stay strong for ten or 15 minutes, especially away from home.”
Freedman, who said his job was “very safe” despite speculation that he is under pressure, reckoned much of yesterday’s contest was evenly fought.
He added: “There was nothing in the game. I don’t like talking to you (press) guys and trying to paper over something but there was nothing in that game.
“There was an 11-minute spell when we were rocked, a bit fortunate for them to score that goal and then we conceded two quick goals.
“Apart from that there’s not a lot in the game.”

Nothing in the game!!! - ""oh bless him"".
Can never expect defeat - and except when a team deserves to win.
11 minute spell when we were rocked! evenly fought!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! passed you off the park and except your team were poor and sitting where they should be.
